Windows 2000, Service Pack 2 (SP2) is required.
You may need to manually install Java Web Start.
Fix
#2 Change the application associated with the .jnlp extension. Using Microsoft Windows, the steps are: 1. In a folder window, select "Folder Options..." from the Tools menu. 2. Select tab "File Types" 3. Select row with file extension of "JNLP" 4. Click "Advanced" 5. In the "Edit File Type" dialog, Uncheck "Confirm open after download" and Uncheck "Always show extension" 6. Select first item in list of Actions. It might be called "Open" or "Launch" (There is typically only one item) 7. Click "Edit..." 8. In the "Editing action for type: JNLP File" dialog box, the fields should contain the following values: Action: &Launch Application used to perform action: "C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_01\javaws\javaws.exe" "%1" Use DDE: true DDE Message: empty Application: javaws Topic: System Please note that the application path needs to refer to the javaws.exe program on your computers file system. 9. Click "ok" to close the dialogs. |
